Slovenia is once again featured in an Indian film
At the beginning of June of this year, filming of the Indian film Bharjari took place in Slovenia, this time in some locations that have never before been used to film an Indian film in Slovenia; Štanjel, Kamnik, and Sevnica Castle. Besides all of these, filming also took place in Ljubljana and Celje Castle. Dancers from the dance group Dance X, as well as extras from the Celje V.S. Production, participated in the filming. This time, the filming was once again led by Katarina Karlovšek, who has been working with the Indian film production since 2012, when Nayak, the first Indian film filmed in Slovenia, was made and put Slovenia on the map for Indian film and television producers. Since then, 11 Indian films have been filmed in Slovenia. The first Indian TV series that was filmed in Europe, as well as an ad for one of the biggest Asian digital entertainment mediums, were also filmed in Slovenia. The premiere of Bharjari was held on the 15th of September, and the film is a big hit in Karnataka (Bangalore is the capital), a state in the South of India with a population of 64 million people. A few days ago, the producers of the film also uploaded the parts of the film which they filmed in Slovenia to their Youtube channel.
